Concept
I've been always facinated by the stories at the border of the apparent daily normality. Inside the cemetery, a man wanders among crosses and headstones, cleaning golden letters and colorful flowers.I watch him as he digs the sunny land. For a while, I've only photographed statues of angels who guard the tombs, cracked Christs, empty niches, etc ... After talking with him almost daily, I felt the need to tell his story with images. His job is scary for some. but he carries it through with the dignity of a gardener who nurses his plants with love and dedication and waters them with care. His name is Amador Rabal. Undertaker by profession.
